Milos Kerkez is a professional footballer who plays as a left back for English premier league club AFC Bournemouth and Hungary national team.
Being born in Serbia, Kerkez started his football career at his birth town Vrbas when he joined OFK Vrbas Academy before moving to Rapid Wien Youth a club based in Austria.
Kerkez moved to his third football academy, Györ a club in Hungary where he established his international roots. He featured 18 times for this second tier club in Hungary and after a brilliant season he earned a national team call up to represent the senior team at just 17 years of age.
His unique style of play at the left back position drew the interest of Serie A club AC Milan where he moved to the club in 2021 after receiving a personal call from Paolo Maldini. He didn’t make any senior team appearance for the club. After just one year with the club, Kerkez made a move to Netherlands on January 2022 signing for AZ Alkmaar where he featured mostly for Jong AZ before breaking to the first team during the UEFA Conference League play offs.

Career Timeline.
Kerkez started his football career at his hometown in Vrbas before moving to Rapid Wien youth in 2014 a club based in Austria where he spent five years later moving to Györ FC a Hungarian club in 2020.
After a year at Györ FC, Kerkez decided to leave the club after receiving a phone call from Paolo Maldini persuading him to join the Serie A giants and on 2 February 2021 just days before the transfer deadline he joined the club where he played for the Youth team but didn’t make a breakthrough to feature in the first team which made him decide to leave the club the following year where he joined AZ Alkmaar in 2022.
At AZ Alkmaar after his arrival he mainly featured for the Youth team, Jong AZ and later made it to the first team where he played his first match on 19 May 2022 against Heerenveen. The 2022/23 season was his first full season as a regular player member of the AZ Alkmaar team and he scored his first Eredivisie goal against Spartta Roterdam. His performances brought impressions to other European clubs where Benfica offered €20 million but AZ Alkmaar rejected but he later joined English club Bournemouth at undisclosed fee.
On 23 July 2023 Bournemouth announced the signing of Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar. He made his debut on the first matchday of the 2023/24 season against West Ham.
International Career.
Being eligible to represent both Serbia and Hungary, Kerkez chose to represent Hungary as it was the first club to call him for the international duties and also he claimed that he got a lot of love and support from the coaches and teammates while playing at Györ FC.
Kerkez has represented Hungary in the U17 and U21 levels. He received his first senior national team call up for the Nation League matches against Italy and Germany and debuted on 23 September 2023 against Germany.
With the qualification of Hungary for the UEFA 2024 Euro championships Kerkez was named in the Hungary squad that will be on Germany for the championships.
