Florian Wirtz biography.
Born to Karin and Joachim Wirtz, Florian Wirtz was born on 3rd May 2003 in Pulheim, Germany. He is the first son and the second born child in their family.
Growing up, Wirtz spent his early childhood life with his elder sister Juliane in Brauweiler, a part of Pulheim. Their parents ensured their kids got quality education as their football careers where Wirtz started his primary education at Brauweiler and advanced his higher education at Opladen located in Leverkusen. As reported by German newspaper BILD, Wirtz graduated from High school in 2021.

Florian Wirtz started breaking records as from his debut in the Bundesliga as on 18 May 2020 he overtook Kai Havertz to become the youngest Bayer Leverkusen player to feature in a Bundesliga match aged 17 years and 15 days old when he started in a match against Werder Bremen. A month later on 6 June, Wirtz scored his first goal for Leverkusen against Bayern Munich becoming the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history aged 17 years and 34 days old a record which was later broken by Youssoufa Moukoko who achieved it at age of 16 years and 28 days old.
Another milestone was achieved when he became the first player to score five goals in the Bundesliga history before his 18th birthday. On 15 December 2021, he became the youngest player to reach 50 Bundesliga appearances aged 18 years and 223 days.

Wirtz signed a contract extension in 23 December 2020 extending his stay until 2023. After an impressive debut season, Wirtz agreed to sign a long-term contract with the club until 2026 on 3 May 2021 a day on his 18th birthday.
On 13 March 2022 he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a match against FC Köln which made him miss the rest of the 2021-22 season. He returned after ten months. On 14 April 2024 he scored his first hattrick in a 5-0 win against Werder Bremen which helped Leverkusen win its first Bundesliga championship.

Florian Wirtz has represented Germany at Youth levels and his first senior national team call up came on March 2021 during 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
