Ethan Chidiebere Nwaneri was born on 21st March 2007 in Enfield, a town located north of London in England. He is the first born of three kids in his mother and father’s marriage.
Childhood life and Education
Ethan Nwaneri spent his early childhood life at Enfield, his hometown. Years later two other siblings making it three and all enjoyed each other’s company. Research shows that Nwaneri grew up in a family which strongly support Arsenal.

Ethan Nwaneri – Early career
Nwaneri first got into football at age of eight when he joined Arsenal Academy in 2015. The training centre was only 23 minutes away from his home which made it easier for his parents to drop and pick him up before and after training.
In just six years the skilled midfielder was already playing for the Under-18s but the midfielder didn’t play with the under-18 for long as the following year he was promoted to the Under-21.
Arsenal
Nwaneri first made his senior team appearance in the 2022-23 season when he joined the first team in a training session on September was named as a substitute for the match day squad on September 18 against Brentford and made his debut replacing Fabio Viera in the second half stoppage time. By doing so, he became the youngest player to ever appear in a Premier league match breaking previous record set by Harvey Elliott.
In addition he became the youngest Arsenal player to make an appearance in any competition breaking previous record set by Cesc Fabregas in 2003-04 season.
Contract with Arsenal
Ethan Nwaneri signed his first professional contract with Arsenal on 28 March 2024 after agreeing to scholarship terms back in June 2023. Discussions over new contract which will keep the youngster until 2030 are underway and begun in August and he will be able to sign the new deal after his 18th birthday in March 2025.
Nwaneri scored his first goal for the senior team on 25 September 2024 when he netted a brace against Bolton Wanderers in the EFL cup third round helping his club advance to the next level. As Ethan Nwaneri continues to make first team appearances he is also training with the reserve team and it’s just a matter of time before he secures a permanent spot with that first team.
International Career
Representing his country of birth, Nwaneri was in the 2023 UEFA Under-17 championship and scored against Croatia. In November 2023 he was included in the 2023 FIFA Under-17 World Cup playing four games and scoring once against New Caledonia. The following year on 20 May 2024, he was included in the UEFA Under-17 championship where he scored three goals before they got eliminated by Italy in the quarter finals.
