Abdul Fatawu started his football career with Steadfast football club located in his hometown at age of fifteen in 2019. He quickly established himself despite even the league being halted due to the COVID 19 pandemic as when the leagues resumed he was able to score 12 goals in 14 matches when on loan with Dream FC where he was named man of the match on eight occasions.

Sporting Lisbon

England’s club Leicester City announced signing of Abdul Fatawu on loan on 31 August 2023 since they couldn’t match his release clause. He made his debut three days later coming on as a substitute against Hull City and scored his first goal for the club on 21 October against Swansea City. Abdul Fatawu played a key role to the promotion of Leicester City back to the EPL and also scoring his first professional hattrick against Southampton FC.
